Urgent blood donation appeal for two students seriously injured in Cas En Bas collision

Two secondary school students are receiving medical care after sustaining serious injuries in a road collision in Cas En Bas on Friday, September 18. Tatiyanna Innocent and Jeanquan Jn Peirre, both students of Entrepot Secondary School, were among three pedestrians struck during the collision, which occurred at approximately 4:50 p. m. , according to police. Police said four vehicles were involved in the crash, including a white Toyota Hilux and a black Mitsubishi Lancer that were travelling in opposite directions before colliding. Two construction vehicles parked on the side of the road were also impacted.

According to police, the three pedestrians were walking along the road when they were struck during the collision. Innocent and Jn Peirre sustained serious injuries. The Saint Lucia Fire Service earlier told St Lucia Times that Innocent sustained a possible femur and pelvic fracture, while Jn Peirre sustained “a crushing injury to his left leg and deformity to the other”. According to a social media post from the Entrepot Secondary School, urgent blood donations are being sought for both students.
