Power consumers may face Rs1.73/unit tariff hike

ISLAMABAD: Elec­tri­city consumers across the country may face a Rs1. 73 per unit increase following a request to adjust power tariffs under the monthly fuel adjustment mechanism for August. The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed the application with the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra), which will hear the request on Sept 29. The proposed increase will also apply to consumers of K-Electric (KE), according to the request.
