Hindu sect BAPS comes under scrutiny in France, US

France got a crash course on BAPS, the Hindu sect at the heart of an Eiffel Tower strike this week.

But for Indians in France who have been trying to raise awareness of far-right Hindu groups, it comes too late. The sect came under scrutiny in the US more than five years ago. Now French public opinion is asking how the group got the green light for a mega temple near Paris and why questions were not raised.
