Egypt’s military production ministry signs international cooperation pact at El Alamein airshow

Egypt’s Ministry of Military Production signed a cooperation contract with an international firm and held talks with several European defence companies at the El Alamein International Airshow to bolster national manufacturing capabilities, according to a ministry statement. Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Jumblatt witnessed the signing ceremony for the agreement, which aims to facilitate the exchange of technical and technological expertise and maximise the manufacturing capabilities available to both parties. Jumblatt stated that the contract reflects the ministry’s focus on opening new horizons for industrial partnerships between its affiliated companies and global counterparts across various fields, primarily in defence manufacturing.

He noted that these efforts implement directives from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to build strategic partnerships with specialised global entities and the international private sector to strengthen national capabilities. During the second day of the exhibition, Jumblatt also explored joint cooperation opportunities and topics of mutual interest with representatives from French, Italian, Bulgarian, and English companies. He emphasised the ministry’s commitment to leveraging the manufacturing, technological, and technical resources of its subsidiaries to forge mutually beneficial strategic alliances with specialised global firms.
