NCCIA issues fresh notices to Momina Iqbal, PML-N MPA Chadhar after new evidence emerges in harassment case

LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Thursday issued fresh notices to television actor Momina Iqbal and PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar after new evidence emerged against them in the case pertaining to Iqbal’s alleged harassment. Iqbal publicly accused Chadhar of online harassment, cyberbullying and threats earlier this year. Her allegations, initially made through social media, triggered widespread attention, and the NCCIA registered a case against Chadhar under several provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) and the Pakistan Penal Code.
Both parties have been summoned for Friday (Sept 4) at the NCCIA office in Lahore. The agency has also constituted a special investigation team to conduct a fresh inquiry into the matter.
